I have been capturing aerial footage at music festivals as a hobbyist since 2005. Over the years I have used kites, R\C airplanes and a variety of quad rotor drones to capture a unique perspective at over 40 events in Ohio, PA, and KY. My favorite shot is of over 100 people gathered to form a giant peace sign when viewed from the air. I've also organized several other large scale "ground art" installations for different events. My interest in aerial photography and ground art installations was spawned from my 11 years experience as a USAF Combat Controller where I was trained as both a static line and military freefall (HALO) parachutist and marked drop zones and runways for tactical air transport.
