Lara Tomov, director of Stories for Action, has spent her career sharing stories and experience with the camera. With a love for the outdoors and adventure, she is experienced working in rugged terrain and challenging situations. Tomov will work to capture and share any story, but prefers to focus on stories that spread positive change and involve the environment, social action, and regenerative economies. From sharing the work of environmental organizations to promoting an innovative business, Tomov recognizes the power of visual media to create positive change. After earning her BA in Cinematography at Emerson College in Boston, she was based in Los Angeles for ten years, working on a variety of television programs, narrative, and documentary films. In that time she traveled to several countries and geographies for work. She is now based in Missoula, Montana where she can actively enjoy the outdoors and continue to share local and international stories. She is a licensed drone pilot, underwater specialist with PADI Rescue Diver Certification, photographer, and standard camera operator.
