He received his MFA in Photography from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, MS in International Studies and BA in Literature from Chung-ang University, South Korea.
He was awarded as one of the ‘Regeneration 2: Tomorrow’s Photographers Today’ by Musée de l'Élysée in Switzerland, which resulted a five-year travelling exhibition throughout the world and his work was published by major art publishers and magazines such as Aperture(US), Thames & Hudson(UK), teNeues(Germany), PDN(US), American Photo(US), SHOTS(UK) and Photographie(Germany). He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, US.
