Our pilot, Dillion Asher, is a trained geoscientist, licensed drone operator and current FAA Part 141 student pilot. He studied coastal geoscience at the University of New Orleans Department of Earth and Environmental Science, and has worked previously as a field geologist in the minerals exploration industry. Having operated drones on a variety of large and complex photogrammetry projects in the Rocky Mountain region, Dillion is working to further expand his drone piloting skills and expertise to additional service areas along the Gulf Coast region. His interests include coastal geomorphology, photography and videography, thermography, and multispectral imaging. In the near future, he looks forward to completing his Private Pilot training and adding experience in thermal IR and multispectral sensor platforms in coastal and agricultural mapping applications.
