Ms. Sumter served as Computer Information Systems Instructor at Albany Technical College (ATC) (2010-2013). Former Director of Online Learning for Albany State University (2014-2017) and Fort Valley State University (2017-2018). Ms. Sumter has more than fifteen years of experience and various certifications in the field of technology. Currently, Ms. Sumter is the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program Chair/Instructor at ATC as well as the Founder of Focusing On Me, Inc.(501c3) and Focusing On Me Droneworks, LLC.

She started her drone adventure by seeking something new to do other than fixing computers designing websites and building robots. As a STEM/STEAM philanthropist and educator she states that she wanted to find a way to continue to encourage STEM careers and education to the next generation, surprising DRONES looks like the answer. She has the adventure to not only get certified as a Part 107 Remote Pilot but has started offering Drone Sessions to Children & Adults. When not teaching she likes to take aerial videos and photos of landscapes, unique structures, and creating memories for others.
