I am a husband and father who lives in Akron, Ohio. Before that, I was a Mission Commander and Internal Pilot for the U.S. Navy's RQ-2 Pioneer UAV and conducted hundreds of missions in North America and overseas, including surveillance, amphibious landing coordination, and search and rescue. Since leaving the military in the 2004, I have worked as a government-contracted background investigator and, for the past fourteen years, as a Registered Nurse at Akron Children's Hospital. Through it all, I have maintained a career in photography, which has been a life-long passion ever since my parents gave me an ancient Argoflex camera when I was six! Although an avid model aircraft and sUAS pilot for the past ten years, I have recently obtained my Part 107 Commercial Remote Pilot Certification to legally add aerial photography to my list of photographic services. I love flying.

Ted Keener Photography has shot parties, events, high school photos, and weddings. My sUAS paid professional experience is mainly in real estate photography (both aerial photos and interiors) and roof Inspections. I am interested in adding vertical inspections, nature conservation work, mapping (within aircraft GPS accuracy limits -- I am not currently equipped with a GPS ground station), and 3-D image stitching (Pix4d) to my repertoire. I already have experience in all these areas in an unpaid, volunteer capacity. I am also comfortable flying at night (as allowed under Part 107 and an authorized LAANC flight plan) and all my vehicles are equipped with anti-collision strobes. I am very focused on customer satisfaction and will always do my best to provide you with images better than you hoped for, or thought possible. All my photographic images -- whether a glamor photo of the front of your home or a roof inspection image -- are, to me, important works of art that bear my name.
