I am an experienced drone pilot with a growing business. I started as a newspaper photojournalist, ending over 30 years of full-time work at the Los Angeles Times in 2020, the start of COVID-19. Since then, I acquired my Part 107 and added drone imagery to my long list of skills and I'm quickly seeing the drone surpass the income I make from photography, and I'm happy for it.

I love the idea and usefulness of a drone in flight to capture the imagery that otherwise could not be imagined, or as a brand new tool to get data faster than what had to be accomplished only on the ground.

My business is growing toward all forms of drone flights, including LIDAR, thermal, and near-infrared, but it isn't there yet. This profile will update when I have grown that direction.
