I am a marine ecologist with specialized skills in marine mapping and geoinformatics, focusing on participatory research and the utility of information technologies to support stakeholder engagement and collaborative approaches in the development of more holistic information for environmental planning and management.

Presently my research explores how IT and drones can be leveraged for community-based participatory mapping of the environment and how a P-UAS Approach can be used to support the collaborative generation and sharing of information to assist the application of ecosystem-based management across the Caribbean.

I have more than 20 years of practical experience in the Caribbean conducting environmental field-surveys, mapping and monitoring applications; remote sensing and advanced spatial analysis, stakeholder engagement techniques, participatory mapping and marine spatial planning including teaching and training courses.
