Luis Martinez is a retired police officer and police chief, with a 32 year law enforcement career in Pinal County, Arizona. In 1969 he soloed his first airplane, at age 16, followed by obtaining my private pilot's license in 1970 (sponsored by the Civil Air Patrol). In 1976 Luis attained his commercial pilot's license and after 300 hrs on his logbook, he decided to follow a different career path after leaving the Army (aviation electronics) and became a police officer in Pinal County, AZ, becoming Chief of Police at two agencies. Medical reasons sidelined his police career and was forced to retire in 2013. Soon Luis discovered the availability and ease of flight of modern unmanned vehicles (UAVs/UAS) equipped with both still photography and video cameras. He decided to pursue a business opportunity in aerial photography and put his FAA license to good use and renew his love of flying.
