Over the course of my 38 years of working at NASA LaRC, I have experience piloting high-performance R/C jet powered advanced research aircraft with more than 1,000 total flights. Extensive experience flying advanced flight test muti-rotors and eVTOL Pixhawk based aircraft. I have flown NASA's GL-10 as well as LA-8 tilt-wing flight dynamics research vehicles. For the least 10 years, I have extensive experience working with the UAS Traffic Management (UTM) systems required for Beyond Visual Line of Sight Operations. Primary contributing author on Safety Case to enable BVLOS ops at NASA as well as an array of technical publications. Technical Lead for UAS system integration within the High Density Vertiplex project. More than 9 years experience with flight dynamics low speed aerodynamics and wind tunnel testing. Outside of work, I have 52 years of continuous R/C experience and compete at the National and World Championship levels and Team Pilot for the 2022 US F3J R/C Soaring World Championship team. I am a Part-107 pilot, Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating, and Certificated Flight Instructor for Gliders with more than 1,200 total flights.
