Aerial photography has been a passion of mine for nearly a decade.

Though I had originally started with kites, my first drone was a revelation.
Kites, by their nature require ample wind and open space to avoid troublesome powerlines.
The freedom to fly anywhere was a paradigm shift from the world of kite aerial photography that I previously knew.
The original DJI phantom holds a special place in my heart as I fondly remember the experience that I had with it while on a cross-country road trip.
During that trek, I had the pleasure to fly over the badlands, a train passing through a deserted Arizona desert, and the scenic Highland park in Seattle.

Rules and regulations were not as evolved as they are now, back then for aspiring drone pilots.
With that in mind, I can proudly report that I have passed the 107 remote pilot certification exam.
