Provides unit-level technical support, planning, consultation, analysis, expert advice and execution to establish, integrate, maintain, sustain and improve the unit-level Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) program, training and equipment. Provides unit-level commanders the ability to validate mission readiness and evaluate the effectiveness of individual SUAS Operator (SUAS-O) to include qualifications and capabilities, to include the development of unit supplements and operating instructions. Established Standardization/Evaluation program in order to ensure a high degree of efficiency in accomplishing the combat mission of the SUAS force. Maintains the SUAS Manager (SUASMAN) database tracking the operational status of all aerial system and certified SUAS-O. Assess mission needs, assists in developing concepts of operations and employment, enact procedures for airspace coordination, de-confliction and integration of operational policy, guidance and training, and conduct standardization and evaluation training in order to validate mission readiness and effectiveness of the SUAS program and SUAS-O. Trains Security Forces Airmen to conduct pre-flight, in route, and post-flight for SUAS aircraft. Coordinates and maintains liaison with military, federal, international, and local agencies concerning flight planning, training route utilization, flight movement messages, and base contingency/operational plans.
