In the world of forestry there is a large amount of ground to cover, and a lot of details which can be missed if not properly surveyed. The ability to obtain current aerial photos has been a game changer in my work.
Typically I use my drone to:
- evaluate areas for drainage, which helps to ensure proper reforestation
- inspect timber harvests to ensure proper product utilization as well as adherence to environmental regulations
- evaluate growing stands of timber for forest health
- showcase/advertise properties which are for sale
- help landowners to evaluate and understand forest management activities
- analyze topography of the site
- inspect other forestry operations
