I'm FAA rated as a part 107 remote pilot and have been since 2017 when the certification was created; I also hold helicopter ATP, CFI/II, and airplane private pilot ratings.
I'm interested in helping provide drone technology to rural areas. I can work on everything from data recovery and analysis to wildlife research to accident investigation to real estate videography to inspection projects. I currently operate a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2, so I can provide up to 4k video at 60fps and 20-megapixel stills. I offered video and photo editing services as well.
For the past 13 years I have been working as a professional helicopter pilot, both in the tour industry and in emergency medical services. Through this experience, I gained skills in aviation safety, weather planning, flight planning and analysis, and effective aircraft utilization. I have a strong knowledge of the traditional aviation industry and a good understanding of regulations and challenges faced in drone integration.
Prior to becoming a pilot I gained a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering and worked as a systems engineer and data analyst in the defense sector. I also worked for over 10 years in education, teaching everything from flight instruction to ski instruction. I feel confident teaching in almost any setting.
