Christopher Michael is a full-time police detective, holds an FAA Private Pilot Airman Certificate (since 2002), and holds an FAA Remote Pilot Airman Certificate. Chris has been flying unmanned aircraft for years, and prior to the availability of the Remote Pilot License (pre-8/29/2016), he held a commercial UAS operator under section 333 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012. Chris holds several special Certificates of Authorization (COA) related both to law enforcement operations and commercial aerial photography. Chris currently provides UAS legal updates, consultation services on UAS programs and policies, and training to law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Wisconsin. Chris is also a board member (treasurer) of the Wisconsin Drone Advisory Committee ("WI-DAC"). Additionally, Chris is available for hire for aerial photography, and he specializes in luxury real estate, commercial properties, special events, and enjoys capturing images of iconic buildings in the Greater Madison, WI area.
