I started flying small unmanned aerial vehicles in 2006 as a small UAS pilot and flight Instructor for the Marine Corps. I continued instructing military personnel for two contracting companies. I was certified on four unmanned aerial systems and their upgrades. I taught how to conduct ISR missions while gathering information via photographs and video. In 2016, I partnered with another company to train others on unmanned aerial systems. Last year, I started my own business, Echo-Six, Inc. Echo-Six, Inc is a Veteran owned small business. My experience had brought me to consolidate the knowledge needed to successfully navigate through the FAA's testing process, to make it easier for those seeking to obtain the FAA's UAS license. My company teaches a two day 14 C.F.R. Part 107 Prep course. All the students who have taken our course has passed their FAA UAS written examination. I also take aerial photographs for the real estate industry and shoot short videos for agents to post online. I have flown several missions for the FAA for future UAS regulation development. I recently received FAA authorization to fly in Class C airspace in the Reno, Nevada area.
