i took up photography at 13 in my hometown of milwaukee, wi, learning on my dad’s old canon FT 35mm film camera, the same one he carried with him as a soldier in vietnam. over three decades later, the skills i developed on that old camera have taken me around the world, working alongside some of the world’s top photographers and brands as a photo assistant and lighting designer. my travels have been a constant teacher, every new land continues training my eyes to find beauty in the unexpected—whether on the ground or from the sky, thanks to my faa part 107 commercial drone pilot’s license.
for me, photography is storytelling. it’s about connection and empathy. it’s about stepping into someone else’s world and truly working to see and understand them. a love of learning and endless curiosity drive my work. i believe each photographer leaves a unique mark on their images, and mine is rooted in connection. i aim to create a space that’s judgment-free, where my subjects feel safe to explore, express, and create without hesitation. to be present. to be seen fully as they are—perfectly imperfect. fully human.
i thrive on true collaboration to tell a story that’s authentic and meaningful, capturing those rare, timeless, honest moments. it’s a magical process to me—the alchemy of art and science that turns everyday moments into gold. together, we get to give that stunning gift to the world, and it’s an absolute honor and joy.
i primarily work with the DJI Mavic 3, but am always happy to learn a new system or connect with a client to discuss specific needs and find the best approach. i love working on stills/motion hybrid jobs and have years of experience working on all kinds of shoots from high end fashion, to entertainment, to product, to documentary and agriculture. i love flying and can't wait to help bring my expertise to your vision.
