I originally became a US commercial (Part 107) remote UAS pilot primarily to inspect buildings (especially roofing) for any damage or leak risks, but now my passion is to capture high quality video for a wide variety of sights. I used to fly the larger Phantom 4 and teach undergraduates about quadcopter safety, applications, and demonstrate it in action. Now, with my own Mavic Air, the lightweight body and amazingly steady 3-axis gimbal allow for truly breathtaking images and video. 4K video looks amazing, the range is great in most environments, and I have 4 batteries for continuous flight and charging.
