The past thirty-five years I have been in leadership roles with two large corporations. In 2015 drones caught my attention. They didn't have anything to do with my career, but I was fascinated by their potential. For the next several years my curiosity was satisfied by learning more about UAVs and keeping up with the newly forming industry. I took the steps necessary to obtain my Part 107 Certificate in preparation to fly drones commercially.

They were no longer just toys, but were much more sophisticated. Their flight capabilities and ability to carry a camera as a payload grabbed my interest. I purchased a DJI Vision 2+ drone. Intrigued with the quality of the aerial photography & videography I knew that one day we would own a drone services company. That day has arrived. This year we have opened Bodley Drone Services to meet the needs of commercial and industrial clients. Since 2015 many advancements have been made to improve and expand the list of things that can be accomplished with drones. They are safer, more responsive, more intuitive, and produce higher quality results than they did just six years ago.
