Britton Mosley, Jr. is originally from State Line, Mississippi, where a small town meets nature at its back door. Britton found his passion in geology while attending Jackson State University and completing internships with Penn State University, United States Geological Survey, and University of Colorado at Boulder. In 2014, he received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

As a graduate student, in 2015, Britton began his career working as a Field Engineer conducting air emission stack testing per EPA standards. Next, he received the brilliant opportunity to become a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor where he built 2D and 3D bathymetric maps for the U.S. Naval Oceanographic Office from 2015-2017. In 2018, Britton received his Master of Science in Environmental Management from Samford University. Across his career tenure, Britton completed multiple geological and environmental projects for oil and gas, power generation, and private sectors as an Environmental Consultant. In addition, he held other positions as a Wellsite Geologist, Environmental Advisor, Environmental Specialist, Project Manager, and Compliance Manager for both the energy industry and government agencies.

With intensive aerial and marine mapping skills, Britton passion always been to start his own company. Therefore, he obtained a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot license to be in compliance for operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In 2024, his dreams came true as the founder and owner of Aurora Drone Services. Aurora Drone Services utilizes drone technology to map land areas and infrastructures for the following sectors: construction, agriculture, environmental, power grid systems, solar farms, oil and gas, railroads, real estate, events, and more. Britton believes his years of experience working in various sectors of energy, government, consulting, and compliance is a plus in utilizing these acquired skills for clients requesting drone services.
