FAA Part 107 Certified. Blake, 27, is a Senior at Indiana State University. He is dedicated to furthering his education while majoring in Unmanned Systems and minoring in Computer Aided Design and Drafting. Blake served in the Illinois Army National Guard for 8 years, while earning the rank of Sergeant in the 1544th Transportation Co. in Paris, IL. While in the Guard, he also served his local community as a volunteer firefighter / EMT (Marshall Fire Protection District) and later as a correctional officer / K9 handler (Wabash Valley Correctional Facility) before deciding to finish his degree. He is FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certified, and carries drone liability insurance up to $1,000,000 through Verifly. Thanks to the new FAA LAANC system, Blake has access to controlled airspace near Terre Haute Regional Airport as long as proper authorization is given.
