About Geodesy

Originally born in Madison, Wisconsin, Whit has split her time between the tropics and mountains of Hawaii, New Zealand, Colorado, and most recently the Pacific Northwest.
After eight years working in the ski and outdoor industry, her fascination with the the outdoors eventually led to a Master’s degree in Aquatic Ecology. During her studies, Whit began filming with drones as a means to go on more outdoor adventures and pursue an artistic distraction from academia.
Whit has contributed aerial and on-the-ground cinematography for groups such as Patagonia, The Nature Conservancy, The Ocean Conservancy, Aspen Valley Land Trust, documentary and outdoor filmmakers.
With a strong understanding of science and interest in the conservation world, Whit aims to bridge science and communication through narrative storytelling.
