I am a retired Army Veteran with 23 years of combined military experience which includes four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. My experience includes nearly 6000 hours of manned and unmanned aviation in extremely demanding modes of flight which consist of; combat operations, mountain flying, Search and Rescue, high altitude operations, night vision systems, and many others. As a career instructor pilot, I am well versed in all areas of aviation such as airspace, regulations, fixed and rotary wing aerodynamics, aviation missions and their applications, as well as drone platform training (mostly DJI products). I am also well versed in small and large UAS operational integration thanks to various broadening opportunities in the military.
I provide aerial services in thermal imaging and analysis, land surveying, 3D modeling, roof and infrastructure inspections, invasive species detection (such as the Rocky Mountain bark beetle), real estate photography, and historic building photographic preservation (such as abandoned mines and ghost towns). I am uniquely capable of providing these services at night or during dawn/dusk as well through an FAA approved Part 107.29 waiver. Pilots without this specific authorization are required by law to operate during daylight hours only. Being centrally located in Colorado Springs allows me to efficiently provide these services to all areas along the greater front range. However, I love to travel and would be happy to come to your job no matter where it is located in the State. My past and current customers include; the US Air Force Academy, US Forest Service, GE aviation, numerous insurance companies, AirLife Denver, and speaking engagements at various industry conferences and trade shows. In addition to drone flights, I maintain a high level of proficiency by currently working as an Emergency Medical Services helicopter pilot for a hospital network in Colorado. Safety is my number one priority and I offer unparalleled aviation experience for your most demanding jobs.
