I became interested in photography when my grandmother gave me a camera for my ninth birthday. When I graduated from high school, I purchased my first SLR film camera. I took an interest in portraiture and started capturing wedding and family photographs, while concurrently becoming passionate about lighthouses, landscape, and wildlife photography. I have visited and photographed over 300 lighthouses, including almost all of those located in Michigan. In 2003, I transitioned from film to digital photography and continued my passion for lighthouse photography while raising two children with my husband, Matt. In 2018, I developed a passion for birding and bird photography, and I have seen and/or captured over 300 species in ten states during the last four years. I still continue portrait photography on request. My short-term goals now include drone piloting so I may expand my photography offerings in a wide variety of applications, such as real estate, farms, property, roof inspections, as well as fine art.
