About five years ago, I was given the opportunity by UPS to try my hand at warehouse work. Right away, I realized I had a knack for the job, especially when it came to loading those iconic brown trucks we all love to see pull up. After moving to Colorado, I worked in a few different warehouses — most notably at a company called Cuestix International. That’s where I stepped into my first supervisory role, and my team consistently hit record lows in error rates.
Unfortunately, my time there ended abruptly when the General Manager let me go without much warning. Not long after, I returned to Texas and began diving into drone technology and Part 107 certification. I quickly fell in love with flying and felt the same drive I had when I first got into warehouse operations.
Now, I’m looking to take the next step and begin doing legitimate commercial drone work with an established company in my area. Right now, gaining experience matters more to me than the paycheck — I’m just eager for the chance to grow and prove myself in the field.
